WOMAN OF PRAISE

Matthew 19:16-26 tells us what a person has to do to inherit eternal life.  When asked by the young rich ruler what good things a person needed to do to inherit eternal life or be saved, Jesus replied in verse 17, “Keep the commandments.”   The young rich ruler then asked him in return which ones?  He replied, “Do not commit murder.  Do not commit adultery.  Do not steal.  Do not bear false witness (tell lies).  Honor your father and mother.  Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Learn the 10 commandments in Exodus 20) The young rich ruler then stated he kept all of them from his youth up and the Bible said, “then Jesus beholding him loved him” (Mark 10:21).  If he was not telling the truth Jesus would have let him know. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 8:12 that “It shall be well with those who fear God.”  People who fear God end up in Paradise with Christ.  In his last few hours, one of the men who was crucified for committing a crime, came to accept an important lesson in life--that men must fear God (Luke 23).   Moses taught it.  Joshua taught it.   Jesus taught it and this man preached it!  “Dost, not thou fear God?!  He asked the other offender on the cross.  His life did not prove that he knew it; but he said it and preached the best message any preacher could preach.   Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when you comest into thy kingdom.” Jesus answered, “Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”   Sometimes the devil thinks he has you.  Sometimes people think the devil has you.  Then suddenly something shocking happens.  In the last few hours of your life.  The Father intervenes and you are saved in a remarkable unorthodox way just because you believed

Luke 10:27 “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind….” The third step of the born-again process is for man to walk in newness of life.  One of the new things he must learn to do is to love God with all his heart, soul, strength, and mind.   When you love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind you will do all what he tells you to do.  Whether it is hard or easy.  Whether it pleases others or not.  Whether it pleases you or not.  Whether it is convenient or not convenient.  You will always be careful to know that you are doing his will.   Abraham had a son whom he loved very much named Isaac.  He and his wife Sarah waited for many years before they received this child.  One day the Lord asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, to him.  Abraham quickly arose and began the journey to sacrifice his son. John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” This scripture makes it very clear that the requirement for seeing or inheriting the kingdom of God is to be born-again.  Therefore what does it mean to be born-again?   Is it simply accepting the Lord Jesus and not doing anything else with our spiritual lives?  If this is all it takes to be born-again everyone will get to Heaven, but you and I know that this is not the case.   Therefore being born-again must be a lot more than many of us have come to believe it is.   Jesus said unto Nicodemus except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5), and even though being born of water seems to be a powerless thing, when combined with the power of God it becomes powerful.   A spiritual transformation takes place as man is buried with Christ in water baptism and risen with Christ in water bapti

Romans 10:9-10 9.  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.   The first step of the born-again process for anyone is to confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus.  Why is this important?  Well, there are many false saviors of the world.  You know their names, but the Lord Jesus is the only true one by whom men shall be saved or by whom men shall inherit eternal life (Acts 4:12).   Choosing the true savior is critical to the salvation of men.  When the true Savior is not chosen, there is no hope whatsoever for men to be saved or inherit eternal life.  Therefore if you choose Jesus, the true Savior, you are also agreeing to the teachings that identify Christ. I will not expect anyone to confess the Savior Jesus (the Son of God) and follow the teachings of another False Savior.  The Savior plus His teachings go together and even though it is not clearly stated

John 5:24 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

STOP LIGHTS Proverbs 1:7 tells us “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Just as there are earthly rules to follow so also are there heavenly instructions to follow.  The fear of the Lord is a set of heavenly rules for men to follow in order to please the Father and get to Heaven.  They are the stop lights that prevent us from going to hell and having major accidents in life.   You do not run through stop lights, do you?  In the same way, you should not ignore the fear of the Lord.  Think about not following the instructions of the Lord as a set of red lights that you have gone through; then visualize the damages you’ve caused or call to your remembrance reports of others going through stop lights and think about the damages they had caused.  They injured themselves badly or died.  They killed or injured others badly as well as destroyed property.  In some very rare cases nothing happened; but you and I know it wil

2 Peter 3:8 “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” In this epistle, the Apostle Peter reminds us that in the last days scoffers will arise according to the prophecies given before by the holy prophets as well as the commandments of the apostles of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   These scoffers, some of whom will be well-known men and women in the body of Christ, will go around saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the Fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation .”  In other words, they will mock the coming of the Lord Jesus and anyone who talks about His coming.  The Apostle Peter also lets us know that these men and women “walk after their own lusts” (2 Peter 3:3). They steal from the poor to make themselves richer.  They form alliances and associations against ministries of God.  They oppose the will of God in
