DOST, NOT THOU FEAR GOD?

Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 8:12 that “It shall be well with those who fear God.”  People who fear God end up in Paradise with Christ.  In his last few hours, one of the men who was crucified for committing a crime, came to accept an important lesson in life--that men must fear God (Luke 23).

Moses taught it.  Joshua taught it.   Jesus taught it and this man preached it!  “Dost, not thou fear God?!  He asked the other offender on the cross.  His life did not prove that he knew it; but he said it and preached the best message any preacher could preach.

Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when you comest into thy kingdom.”
Jesus answered, “Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

Sometimes the devil thinks he has you.  Sometimes people think the devil has you.  Then suddenly something shocking happens.  In the last few hours of your life.  The Father intervenes and you are saved in a remarkable unorthodox way just because you believed on his Son Jesus and realized and confessed your wrong.

This man did not pass up the opportunity to be with Christ in the last few hours of his life and you shouldn’t too.  He didn’t pass up the opportunity to admit that he lived life wrong and you shouldn’t too. He surrendered his life to Jesus and inherited eternal life all because the Father drew him and he yielded.

Jesus said that no man can come unto him except the Father which sent Him draws him... (John 6:44).  He also said, All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out (John 6:37).  He accepts criminals.  He accepts prostitutes.  He accepts the vilest offenders.  He accepts prisoners.  All who the Father gives and draws.  You will not be turned away.  No matter the life that you have lived; So come!  Believe in His son Jesus and inherit eternal life.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God
