The children of Israel were honored by Pharoah before Joseph died, but after his death, a new king arose which did not know Joseph, who began to maltreat them and make their lives bitter with hard bondage, which brought pain to the people who cried out in sorrow unto the Lord. Exodus 3:7 tells us, “And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows. I want to let you know that God knows your sorrows. He has seen every drop of your tears. He has seen your pain, oppression, and depression. He knows the burdens that you are carrying and how long you have been carrying them. He knows your worries and He is making plans for your deliverance. Psalm 30:5 tells us, “Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.” Your joy is coming. Help is on the way.
