PRAYER 12.31.19

Psalm 13 How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?  2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?  3 Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

PRAYER 12.29.19

Romans 1:8  First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.  9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;  10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

PRAYER 12.26.19

Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

PRAYER 12.25.19

Psalm 31 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.  2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.  3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

PRAYER 12.24.19

Psalm 119:41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word.  42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.  43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. 44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

PRAYER 12.22.19

2 Kings 19:5 And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.  16 Lord, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.  17 Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,  18 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.  19 Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only.

PRAYER 12.21.19

Psalm 71:4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.  5 For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.  6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

MERRY CHRISTMAS - GUEST SINGER

Psalm 8:2  Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

PRAYER 12.19.19

Psalm 74:21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.  22 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.  23 Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

PRAYER 12.18.19

Psalm 51 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.  2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.  3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

PRAYER 12.17.19

Psalm 18:27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. 28 For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. 29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

PRAYER 12.15.19

Psalm 32:3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.  4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.  5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

PRAYER 12.14.19

Psalm 20   The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;  2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;  3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.  4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

WHEN TRAGEDY STRIKES

What do you do when tragedy strikes? Do you get angry with God. Do you curse Him? Do you encourage yourself in the Lord? or do you bow down and worship Him? Yes, that’s what I said. Do you bow down and worship Him? This is what Job did when tragedy descended upon him like an army and no wonder God’s report of Job was that he was a perfect and upright man or a believer who walks uprightly because how many of us do this when tragedy strikes. It is easier to murmur, complain, and sin with our lips than to bow down and worship God. It is much easier to blame an innocent person for our troubles than to bow down and worship God. It is much easier to tell God how good we have been and why we do not deserve it, and it is much easier to tell God how much money we have put into the offering plates and that we do not deserve it; but not so with Job, he decided to honor God instead and forget about himself after he lamented his many losses. You cannot find a more perfect approach to trage

PRAYER 12.10.19

Psalm 119:28  My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.  29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.  30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.  31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.  32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

PRAYER 12.8.19

Psalm 69  Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.  2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.  3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

PRAYER 12.7.19

2 Samuel 15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Lord, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.   The Lord will turn the counsel of your conspirators into foolishness in the name of Jesus!

PRAYER 12.5.19

Psalm 17 Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.  2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.  3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

PRAYER 12.4.19

2 Samuel 7:18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?  19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord God?  20 And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant.
