THE HUMBLE WOMAN 2

TO BE HUMBLE IS TO BE COURTEOUS.
According to online dictionary.com, the definition for courteous is having or showing good manners; polite.

I asked my younger daughter to tell me what her classmates do that she considers bad manners.   She said, “Throw trash at me!”  Well, that hit me like a rock in the head, and I was just about to put on my shoes to find this little person who throws trash at my daughter, when something held me back.  Thank God for the Holy Spirit.

I believe this is exactly how the Father behaves when people throw trash at us.   He doesn’t like it.   So, how do people throw trash at us? The first thought that comes to my mind are “words.”  Yes words.  You know what I’m talking about.  We bless with them and we curse with them.   We sing with them and we pray with them.   We communicate with them.   We throw trash with them.

Psalm 50:20-23
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.  21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.  22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
SLANDER is anything that is malicious, false, or defamatory in statement or report about someone, and is something that is circulated (taken from person to person).  Many people think it is a sport to slander the name of others; but God strongly condemns this behavior and has made it very clear in the text above, what will happen to people who practice these things.
The Scripture even points out that God’s silence in the matter somehow made the offenders think that He supported them.   The GRACE He gave them for repentance, made them feel somehow that He agreed with them.  The amount of years that passed without them being judged made them believe that He was pleased with this sin.
The above Scripture is a warning to REPENT NOW(mercy).   The Scripture is warning that God’s action concerning this matter is SURE.   The Scripture also describes that the judgment is not going to be something easy—It is going to be something that will tear you in pieces, see verse 22 above, (this sounds like death to me), and it will be difficult for such an individual to find deliverance because where is the man who can deliver you from God’s judgment?
Slandering someone’s name is not an act of courtesy; but of great hatred, and if not corrected, will yield great judgment from God.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
Evangelist K. Michael
