PRESCRIPTION FOR SUCCESS

Psalm 1

According to Psalm 1, if you want to be blessed, do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly (do not practice nor follow ungodly counseling), do not stand in the way of sinners (do not stand in agreement with their philosophy), or sit in the seat of the scornful (do not find yourself being a hater or mocker of God and the things of God). 

But instead, delight yourself in the law of the LORD so much that you read it regularly, you meditate on it frequently, you live it, as well as find pleasure in others who walk uprightly. When you do this, verse three says, you will be like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water—your leaves will not wither and whatsoever you do will prosper.  

 God is not a man that He should tell a lie!  If He prescribes it; then it is worth consideration!  If He recommends it; then it deserves your attention!   If He commands it; then it requires your obedience!  God has given us the remedy to live a successful Christian life and all we need to do is to follow what the Doctor has ordered.

Jeremiah 7:23, “But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.”
