Proverbs 31:30 "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."

Walk in Truth

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

King David, even though he was called a man after God’s own heart, found himself walking in a path that was contrary to walking in the fear of the Lord and contrary to walking in wisdom.

He knew what was right; but yet he allowed His flesh to dictate to his spirit and delude him into committing adultery with Bathsheba as well as killing her husband.  These two violations of God’s Holy Law brought a curse into his life because the thing greatly displeased God (2 Samuel 11).

Despising the wisdom and instruction of the Word of God, can bring a legion of problems into your life; but walking in the Fear of the Lord, will let you escape the judgment of God, as well as let your depart from evil.

In Psalm 51:6, David writes, “Behold, you desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart.”

He had come to the realization that not keeping the commandments of God is a foolish mistake that you and I make that produces severe consequences in our lives, and that God’s desire for all of us—including kings—is that we walk in truth.

John 3:16, “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
